Technical Section.

Our 350m indoor circuit in Kirkcaldy was the largest in Scotland - until we opened our 400m circuit in Aberdeen. The first of it's kind in Fife this superbly equipped all weather facility enables individuals, groups and corporate bodies to experience the thrill and excitement of real motorsport at a releatively low cost. Drivers at our circuits both in Kirkcaldy and in Aberdeen benefit from the latest in safety barrier design with our special Safelane Barrier System, developed specifically for Kart Circuits and which provides excellent protection to both man and machine.

Here at Kartstart we provide a range of Karts to suit all levels of ability from age 4 and upwards.

  • Mini Quads
    • For our Junior drivers age 4 to 8 years we have 50cc Suzuki Quads. These entry level Karts are perfect for introducing the thrills and skills of karting to our younger pilots.
  • Cadet Karts
    • Featuring a short length chassis and fitted with a 160cc Honda engine, the Cadet Karts are ideal for youngsters aged 8 and upwards. Minimum height requirement is 4ft 2" up to a maximum of 4 ft 8".
  • Senior Karts
    • The Senior Karts used by Kartstart are purpose designed for indoor racing and utilise the powerful Honda 200cc engine whose 6.5hp is capable of propelling the Karts at speeds of 40mph.
  • Pro Karts
    • Earth shattering performances are available for drivers who obtain a "Kartstart Licence". These licences are issued to drivers who have completed 30 minutes of single engined karting to the satisfaction of our experienced track staff.

    Note: Minimum age requirement for the Kartstart Licence is 15 years and licence application is subject to a £10 administration fee.

Our Karts are all professionally maintained and prepared by our qualified staff so you can be sure that it won't be a mechanical failure that prevents you from walking away with the winners trophy.
